Al Wahab Global is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that the web should be available to all users regardless of ability, and we are actively working to improve the accessibility of our digital presence.
Our Commitment to Accessibility
Al Wahab Global strives to ensure our website meets or exceeds the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We view accessibility as an ongoing commitment rather than a one-time effort.
Our team regularly reviews the website for accessibility barriers and addresses them as part of our development process. We believe inclusive design benefits all users, not just those with disabilities — better accessibility means better usability for everyone.
Conformance Status
We are actively working toward full conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Current measures implemented include:
- Semantic HTML5 document structure with proper heading hierarchy (H1 → H2 → H3)
- ARIA landmark roles and labels on all interactive elements
- Keyboard-navigable interface for all core functionality
- Sufficient color contrast ratios: minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text
- Text alternatives for all meaningful images via alt attributes
- Responsive design working across screen sizes from 320px to 2560px
- No content that flashes more than 3 times per second
Technical Measures Taken
We have implemented the following specific accessibility features throughout our website:
- Skip navigation link at the top of each page to bypass repetitive navigation
- Form labels: All form fields have properly associated labels via
for/idpairing oraria-label - Visible focus states: Interactive elements display amber highlight rings on keyboard focus
- Keyboard navigation: Full site navigation via Tab, Enter, Space, and Arrow keys
- Mobile menu: Accessible hamburger menu with proper
aria-expandedstate management - Image alt text: All product and content images include descriptive alt text
- No audio-only content: Videos use muted autoplay with visual content only — no audio-only information
- Font scaling: Text scales properly with browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content
Known Limitations & Ongoing Improvements
We are transparent about areas currently being improved. The following limitations have been identified and are actively being addressed:
- Product gallery images: Some older product images may have generic or missing alt text. We are systematically auditing and adding descriptive alt text to all images in our catalog.
- PDF documents: Product catalogs and lookbooks are not yet fully tagged for screen reader accessibility. Please contact us to request an accessible alternative format of any document.
- Video content: We are working to add caption support for any future video content added to the site.
If you encounter a barrier not listed here, please let us know — we will prioritize fixing it.
